Libyans celebrate uneasy anniversary

Thousands of Libyans took to the streets on Sunday (February 17) to mark two years since the start of the country's revolution.
The streets of the capital were congested with cars flying national flags and blasting nationalist songs as thousands attempted to make their way to Martyrs' Square
Thousands more could be seen celebrating on the streets of Benghazi, the country's second city. Children waved flags and danced on the streets.
Despite calls in the eastern region - where most of Libya's oil wealth lies - for a return to a federal political structure and more regional autonomy, which Libya had before Gaddafi seized power in a coup in 1969, those on the streets of Benghazi appeared to be taking time to celebrate the country's achievements.
