Berlin film festival signals greater women's participation

The Berlin film festival has always had a reputation for being edgy and different; out of 400 films being premiered, 100 are directed by women. That's different than the rest of Germany, where entrepreneurship among women is comprehensively stifled by a lack of kindergarten places - which makes it difficult for mothers to work. It's not a financial issue, instead it's cultural and working mothers are frowned on and even offered money to stay at home - in that sense the acceptance of women at the film festival really does go against the grain. Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from Berlin.
