Oscar winning director Steven Soderbergh's delves into the world of prescription drugs - in his last film before taking a self-imposed break from movie-making.
In the movie, Roony Mara's character is given anti-anxiety drugs which inadvertently trigger blackouts.
When tragedy strikes - a trail of blood and murder lead back to her.
Law hinted that "Side Effects" will challenge audiences, while also delivering a few shocking twists along the way.

"I think at the heart of it really there is a greater danger that we like shortcuts to remedy and that's really what this film is about. But at its heart it's a thriller. It's a film with a great twist, a twist that I don't think anyone ever sees coming and that's the entertainment value of the film as opposed to the many subjects it brings up questions about."
Law plays the psychiatrist out to find the truth, including locking horns with a shady doctor played by Catherine Zeta-Jones.
