ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: Oscar-winning actor Matt Damon is going on strike from using the toilet - at least that is what he has told a staged news conference.

In a commercial to raise awareness of the need for clean water around the world, the co-founder of Water.org tells a room full of journalists that he will not be going to the bathroom until sanitation is available to everyone.

Damon says that 2.5 billion people worldwide do not have access to basic sanitation. The commercial encourages people to donate 25 dollars to Water.org's campaign - an amount which it says is enough to provide one person with clean water for life.
