STORY: Beyonce invites fans into her world with a new documentary called "Life Is But A Dream."

The normally private singer shares intimate details about life as a celebrity, mother and a wife in the film set to air on U.S. cable broadcaster HBO.

Before going into the premiere the singer said she was excited to see the film with an audience.

"It's going to be hard for me in about ten minutes when I watch it with everyone in the theater for the first time. I haven't seen this with anyone expect my husband and my mother. So I drove up and I'm like, 'Oh my God this is real,'" she said.

The 31-year-old has been in the spotlight for more than half her life. First as a member of the girl group Destiny's Child and then as a solo artist and an actress.

TV personality Oprah Winfrey made a rare red carpet appearance to support the singer: "I only did this red carpet for Beyonce. I haven't done a red carpet in God knows when. When's the last time you saw me?"

Winfrey watched the film with students from her school and said the girls were shocked to learn Beyonce is just a normal person.

"Life Is But A Dream" will air on HBO on February 16.
