While Larry Baker (John Wayne) walks back to town to borrow a car, the framed ex-convict Frank Stratton (Edmund Breese) convinces his daughter Gloria (Shirley Grey) to help him steal the gold before the Wrecker's men get to it. He hopes to use the gold as leverage to force the railroad company to release evidence that will prove his innocence, but his desperate action may cost his daughter's life!
