Attorneys for the accused gunman in the Aurora movie theater shooting asked for more time to prepare a plea for their client.

James Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and wounding dozens of others. The judge agreed to postpone the 25-year-old former neuroscience doctoral student's arraignment until March 12.

The announcement was met with frustration by victims and their supporters.

SOUNDBITE: JESSICA WATTS, COUSIN OF VICTIM JONATHAN BLUNK, SAYING:

"I definitely do not think that he is insane. I think he is absolutely just evil."

Attorney for Holmes say their client suffers from an unspecificed mental illness. He is being held without bond.
