Seven children die in Chinese orphanage fire
Seven Chinese children are dead after a fire broke out in this private orphanage in Henan province.
The Friday blaze broke out at around 8:30am local time and was contained in about two hours.
But it was too late for the seven victims, four of whom died at the scene, while the three others perished on route to the hospital.
Media report the residence belongs to a woman who had adopted more than 100 children over the course of 27 years.
She did not have a proper license to operate this kind of facility.
The surviving children have been set up in a temporary shelter.
