"Autonomous" Tibet With Our Own Eyes (& Lungs)

This video is Part 7 of our “China–And How!” adventure.

We fly from Xian to Lhasa west across the Himalayas. Our bus greets us and we ride in to our hotel in central Lhasa. After resting briefly we have a typical Tibetan dinner at a restaurant selected by our local guide Danny. Next morning we head out on our own to the Norbilingka Gardens, location of the summer palace of the Dahli Lama. After lunch we climb the Potala Palace. When we get back to our centrally located hotel we take photographs from the rooftop. On our last day in Lhasa we spend more time in the Barkhor District shops and stalls before and after visiting holiest shire of Tibetan Buddhists, the Jokhang Temple. Finally, we ride back out to the Lhasa airport and fly east across the Himalayas to Chongqing China.
