Trilogy of The Moderns - behind the scenes
This film is a documentary on the photographer Gérard Rancinan and the writer Caroline Gaudriault and their work on the Trilogy of the Moderns, a committed exploration of the great upheavals experienced by humanity.
The seven year project involved contributions from philosophers, men of faith, art theorists, and others. The Trilogy of the Moderns was displayed in its entirety at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris, 2008), the Chapelle Saint Sauveur (Paris, 2011), and the Triennale di Milano Design Museum (Italy, 2012).
The project is the object of three books: Metamorphoses, Hypotheses, and Wonderful World.
