Matt's Silver Gloves State Championship 2012

Matt, my 14 yr old fought in the 90 lbs division in the recent Silver Gloves State Championship held at El Monte, CA last December 1, 2012. Although he started off real good, he caught a right punch onto his mid section, which pretty much ended the fight. The referee has to stop the fight. I was pretty happy that the referee did that since it was so clear that Matt was outclassed in the match. His opponent, Geovany Santiago is almost two years older than Matt and has so many fights already. He packs so much power in his punches. It was not worth for Matt to continue and possibly get hurt. Matt's ego hurted the most, but I know he will get over it in due time.
