Slovenia's opposition candidate has been elected president after a run-off election in the recession hit nation. With almost all the votes counted from Sunday's poll, Borut Pahor, a former prime minister, has 67 per cent of the vote, while Danilo Turk - in office since 2007 - took just over 32 per cent.
