British royal Kate visits the Natural History Museum

The Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of Britain's Prince William, opened a new gallery dedicated to the best of the country's natural history treasures on Tuesday (November 27).

'Treasures in the Cadogan Gallery' puts on show of 22 special exhibits chosen from 70 million specimens and artefacts.

London's Natural History Museum, where the gallery is housed, says each has a fascinating story to tell and was selected by represent the museum's scientific, aesthetic, historical, social, and cultural worth.

The Duchess, the former Kate Middleton, was given a tour of the gallery by museum director Michael Dixon.
