His new film is expected to provide evidence that Savile’s abuse of girls as young as 10 spanned four decades.

It will also reveal how he was able to get access to places like Broadmoor and Stoke Mandeville Hospital and reveals how his TV programmes were engineered to give him unlimited access to children.

The question of why the rumours and gossip were never acted upon just isn’t going to go away.
