Charles Darwin

Charles Robert Darwin (1809 - 1882) - English naturalist and traveler who laid down the foundations of the modern evolutionary theory called “Darwinism”. In the theory of evolution, which in 1859 he expounded upon in his book called "The Origin of Species", Darwin attached paramount importance to natural selection and uncertain variability.
