The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that he wanted to make Pakistan into a liberal, enlightened and democratic country according to the vision of the founding father of the country Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and not a country ruled by Taliban and religious extremists. He said that he wanted Pakistan to transform into a country where the poor also had honour and dignity like the rich.
He offered co-operation to the armed forces, the ISI and other military institutions for saving Pakistan. He asked them to extend their hand. “You save us and we will save you. You protect the borders, and we will support you and make the country stronger.” He expressed these views while addressing a large gathering of MQM workers, KKF volunteers and notables at the main camp set up for the collection of hides of sacrificial animals under the KKF in Federal B Area.

Mr Hussain praised MQM workers for making selfless efforts in collecting hides of sacrificial animals under the KKF during the three days of Eid. He thanked the people for showing their confidence in the MQM by donating the hides in record numbers.

He asked the nation to pray for complete recovery of Malala Yousufzai her fellow students Shazia and Kainat.

He said that the administrative structure of the government is meant for running the affairs of the country and not for getting privilege and accumulating wealth. He regretted that unrestrained capitalism had completely spread in the world, but if is someone wanted to see a glimpse of the period of the Pious Caliphs, they could see it in the MQM where everyone had equal rights.

He said that he had always asked his workers to refrain from pride, conceit and haughtiness. He said that greatness was for Allah alone as human beings were mortal.
