Film star ship Bounty claimed by Sandy

The U.S. Coast Guard conducts a daring rescue off North Carolina's Outer Banks on Monday.
Fourteen of the 16 crew members who abandoned the replica tall ship Bounty were rescued as the vessel sank in high seas ahead of Hurricane Sandy.
Another sailor was recovered in unresponsive condition and taken to hospital -- media reported the hospital and Coast Guard as saying she had died.
The captain remains missing.
Two MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters took part in the rescue operation, and a C-130 Hercules aircraft was searching for the missing captain.
The tall ship was built for the 1962 movie "Mutiny on the Bounty" -- and has since been featured in numerous Hollywood productions.
It is a replica of the HMS Bounty -- built in 1789 and famous for a mutiny near Tahiti in the South Pacific.
It was on its way from New London, Connecticut to St. Petersburg, Florida.
The three-mast, 180-foot vessel was believed to be taking on water and was without propulsion -- stuck in 40 mile per hour winds and 18 foot seas.
