MQM will hold a public referendum after Eid-ul-Azha,
Public will be asked if they want the Quaid-i-Azam’s Pakistan or a Taliban’s Pakistan.

The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) will hold a public referendum after Eid-ul-Azha and the public would be asked if they wanted the Quaid-i-Azam’s Pakistan or a Taliban’s Pakistan. The decision to hold the referendum has been taken by the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM keeping in view the current situation of the country and the statements and views of Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the date for holding the referendum would be announced soon after the Eid-ul-Azha. The referendum would be held in cities and towns of Sindh and the rest of the country, including the Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, North and South Waziristan and other agencies of the tribal areas.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the result of the referendum would be conveyed to the government so that the government may take deliberate upon it in the Cabinet meeting for taking actions in light of the public opinion
