More anti-Islam film demonstrations in Pakistan and Philippines

Pakistani lawyers vent their anger over an amateur film made in the US mocking the Prophet Mohamad.

More than two weeks after world-wide protests first broke out over the crudely made film, feelings continue to run high in some areas.

Chanting "We are ready to sacrifice our lives to safeguard the Propher's honour' dozens of lawyers fought their way to the entrance of Islamabad's diplomatic quarter to hand over a condemnation memo to US Embassy officials.

In marked contrast, around a hundred young men and women calling themselves the Youth of Pakistan staged a peaceful protest against the film outside a mosque in the city.

This woman says their aim is to show a positive image of Pakistan to the world.

There were more protests in the Phillipines as Muslims gathered in the capital Manila after Friday prayers.

They say they want their government to ask Google to block the film from appearing on YouTube.

While demonstrations have so far been peaceful in the Phillipines, some like this man warned they could turn violent if their demands aren't met.

The Philippine Supreme Court has ordered a ban on public screenings of the film but has so far not ruled on the issue of online access.
