After three days, owners of the burnt cinemas in Karachi finally addressed their concerns at a press conference. They claimed that none of the cinemas were insured and their was no compensation for their losses.
They also stated that the Friday riots indicated a failure on the part of the government and the burning down of cinemas was a serious blow to the already declining Pakistan film industry.
