Pakistani minister offers $100,000 reward for filmmaker's death

In Pakistan, a bounty has been placed on the head of the person responsible for making an anti-Islam film ridiculing the Prophet Muhammad.

SOUNDBITE: Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Railway Minister saying (Urdu):

"I announce today that this blasphemer, this sinner who has spoken nonsense about the holy Prophet, anyone who murders him, I will reward him with one hundred thousand dollars."

Railway minister Ghulam Bilour, says the payout will come from his personal funds and the he is not acting on behalf of the government. He also urged al Qaeda and the Taliban to join in the hunt.

SOUNDBITE: Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Railway Minister saying (Urdu):

"If the U.S. government hands the man over to me, I am willing to kill him with my own hands even if they hang me for it later on."

The announcement came the day after 15 people were killed in violent protests to the film through the country.
