Ganesh Utsav is a pretty big affair in this part of India. People wait for a year to welcome Lord Ganesh in their house and pray for peace and prosperity of the household. Even our film stars do the same during this time of the year. This year too celebrities like Salman Khan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and others came together to pray to the Elephant God.
We told you about the Ganpati puja at Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment. This is the 11th time that they have welcomed the God in their household. The whole family did the rituals patiently. Salman also invited many of his friends, filmy and otherwise, to come and pray to the Lord. Bipasha Basu visited Salman’s residence to visit the deity in a splendid Rocky S white Salwar Kameez and a red bindi on her forehead. She was looking absolutely traditional. Sridevi too made it a point to visit Salman’s house clad in a beautiful Anarkali that made her look spectacular. Who says she has aged? She still looks as stunning as ever.
As for Kareena Kapoor, we told you how her Heroine director and she prayed to Ganesha. Kareena was looking fabulous in a Manish Malhotra Saree. Nothing beats an Indian woman in a saree and Kareena proved it. On the other hand, Kajol made sure she celebrated Ganpati festival with a purpose.
