A dining establishment in New York City is raising the bar when it comes to steak.

The Old Homestead Steakhouse is introducing a 12 ounce steak for a hefty price tag of $350.

The steak is said to be genuine Japanese Kobe beef, highly regarded for the quality of meat thanks to the cow’s pampered existence. The restaurant claims to have a waiting list of hungry, eager customers, who are willing to fly in from various cities across the country, just to try it. The Old Homestead co-owner, Marc Sherry states, “It’s like having July 4th in your mouth — there is an explosion of flavors. It’s a food experience of orgasmic proportions”.

Kobe beef was once banned due to health concerns in Japanese cows, but imports have slowly started returning to the United States. The New York City steakhouse boasts of having the “limited first shipment”.

This isn’t the first time that The Old Homestead Steakhouse has shocked patrons with jaw-dropping prices. A while back, the restaurant offered an $81 burger.
