Venezuela tribe denies Amazon massacre
Deep in the Amazon jungle, officials arrive at a village, investigating reports of a massacre.
The Venezuelan Yanomami tribe are at the centre of claims villagers were shot dead by Brazilian gold miners.
But the tribe appeared surprised by the news.
SOUNDBITE: CHIEF OF THE COMMUNITY IN SIERRA DE PARIMA, MASSUPI, SAYING (Spanish):
"I asked how many they killed and they told me they didn't kill anyone. Here, we are all fine."
One Yanomami group sounded the alarm in August, saying hunters had discovered a massacre.
The government launched an investigation, but repeatedly said it found no evidence.
Rights group Survival International has now retracted a version of events which said miners killed over 70 people.
But the group says doubts still persist and that tension in the area remains high.
