The Taliban says it was behind a suicide attack near the heavily guarded NATO headquarters in the Afghan capital, Kabul, as the country marks a national holiday.
At least six people were killed by the blast near the entrance of Camp Eggers, a sprawling base that is home to some 2,500 coalition staff.
Young children are said to be among the dead, according to officials.
