Wealthy Veneto equally hit by rising suicides

As the Italian government continues to cut public spending and more than two million people find themselves out of a work, suicides are an increasing problem in society.

In the country's historically wealthier northern region, the Veneto, people pride themselves for their entrepreneurial skills, having nurtured small family holdings for years and often turning them into thriving companies.
