Foresters V. Hills (Monday, 8.27.12)

The Forester's look to improve the state of their early-season running economy with 3-4 sets of 180 meter hill repeats, accelerating in 60 meter intervals. While we always emphasize listening to your body, it's a rare workout that doesn't necessarily include time goals...more of a "by feel" workout. Roughly however, the team is looking to run at what they perceive to be right around 8k-10k race effort the first 60 meters, 3k-5k effort from 60 to 120 and approximately current mile race pace the final 60 meters of the hill - with the intent to NEVER sacrifice form at the cost of a little more speed. Fluidity > speed.
