Jordan backs out from sanctions against Syria

Jordan has initially voted for the Arab League sanctions against its neighbour Syria.

However, having weighed up the economic consequences, the government in Amman has changed its mind.

The trade between the two countries is worth an estimated $700m a year and almost two-thirds of Jordan's imports and exports are connected to Syria in some way.

Al Jazeera's Nisreen el Shamayleh reports from Amman.
