Punished for being a girl

In a shocking case of apathy, a premature newborn baby was left to die in a Pune hospital by her parents, only because she was a girl child. The parents allegedly asked the doctors not to treat the baby because they were unable to pay the bill. And as if being abandoned by her parents was not enough, the doctors too ignored the newborn, leaving her to die.
