UN Security Council ends NATO's Libya mission

The UN Security Council has voted to bring an end to NATO's authority to operate a no-fly zone and its mandate to protect civilians - known as Resolution 1973.

The decision came despite a call from the National Transitional Council for NATO to extend its mission.

And as Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports from Tripoli, it means an early test for Libya's new leadership.
