Come November things will be getting serious on Capitol Hill.

The fierce battles and back-stabbing reality in today's political circus is at the heart of this politically charged comedy.

"The Campaign" sees actors Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis of "Hangover" fame play two congressmen using all their political wit and tricks to land a seat in the United States House of Representatives.

Ahead of the film's screening in the nation's capital on Tuesday (July 31), the two demonstrated why they are some of Hollywood's most in-demand funny men.

SOUNDBITE: Zach Galifianakis, Actor, on their chemistry on set, saying (English):

"Well, obviously it's on display right here we can't think of anything. Will and I have known each other for awhile so it's quite easy."

FERRELL, SAYING: "Yeah. We like each other alright. That camera is not on is it. Oh!"

GALIFIANAKIS, SAYING: "Oh, we didn't know."

And the pair won't just be throwing punches at each other, but at America's political elite, too, who according to Ferrell proved to be invaluable source material.

SOUNDBITE: Will Ferrell, Actor, about choosing the role and who drew inspiration from, saying (English):

"You know this wasn't a script that was handed to us, it was an idea we helped create and so we jumped at the chance to have some fun with politics. It's about time and you know in terms of my character who is a four time incumbent Congressman you know I basically drew upon everyone on Capitol Hill whose is not doing anything -- which is a lot, lot of people."

For those who don't find real politics entertaining enough, "The Campaign" promises to bring just that as it's set to hit U.S. theaters on August 10.
