A little bit about our Pre-school, Hartest pre-school is a committee run pre-school within the beautiful picturesque village of Hartest, Suffolk. Children are at the heart of all that we do, and with this in mind we have created a special environment for your treasured little ones. “Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn.” - O. Fred Donaldson. Our setting is a large open space with central access to the outdoor garden area. The area is “zoned” for a mixture of activities and provides both quiet and reflective areas as well as larger areas for messier more energetic play. This allows us to cater for a wide range of activities and needs, to suit the ages and development of all our children. All children can choose equipment and resources independently and freely through our open storage within the indoor and outdoor areas, this in turn promotes independent, creative and curious learners. Our children have constant access to our outdoor area and we have all weather suits and wellies to accommodate our ever changing weather “There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing!” (Our motto). We have a large purpose built sand pit where children can dig and dig, create sand castles, rivers whatever their creative imaginations can come up with! Why Choose Us?
