With parliamentary elections a month away, Egypt's political parties are threatening a boycott of the November ballot.

Saying they cannot trust the ruling military council, the parties are once again calling for an end to the nation's 30-year-old emergency law. In addition, they are demanding that members of ousted president Hosni Mubarak's dissolved party be banned from running.
