French far-right leader visits Lampedusa

Just weeks into her new job but France's far right leader was heckled during a visit to the Italian island of Lampedusa.

Marie Le Pen arrived there to visit a centre for illegal migrants.

Nearly 9,000 people have arrived on the island since January, many fleeing unrest North Africa.

Al Jazeera's Shamim Chowdhury reports.
