STORY: The Olympic flame began the last leg of its journey on Friday as it arrived at the Tower of London in dramatic fashion.

Flying along the path of the famous river Thames past many London landmarks, a Royal Navy Sea King helicopter arrived at the Tower of London and hovered while a Royal Marine Commando rappelled to the ground with the flame in a lantern attached to his belt.

The Commando was met by former British Olympic double gold medal winner Kelly Holmes who ran with her lit torch into the grounds of the 11th century tower.
