France remembers WWII Jewish deportation

France commemorates one of the most notorious episodes of the Second World War, when thousands of French Jews were rounded up in occupied Paris before being shipped to Auschwitz for extermination. The "Vel' d'Hiv' police round-up" -- named after the Winter Velodrome, where victims were temporarily confined -- took place 70 years ago, and is being remembered in Paris with a special ceremony at the former internment camp.Duration: 00:51
