As the title suggests, Trivia or Die isn't a game for people who think losing is an acceptable outcome as long as you tried your best. The host of Trivia or Die leaves little ambiguity in his assessment of your efforts. Winners are saviors who defend the Earth with their impressive collection of mostly useless knowledge, and losers are complete wastes of human tissue who deserve nothing less than death by fire and disgrace.
