Launch of 5 Rockets in 5 Minutes (ATREX)

Finally after days of delays NASA launched 5 rockets in 5 minutes as part of the ATREX mission to investigation upper level winds.

The first rocket launched at 08:58 UTC and the other 4 rockets 80 seconds after each other.

The rockets released a white cloudy chemical that allowed camera sites at 3 locations on the East coast to track and see changes in the winds as the streams move.

The Anomalous Transport Rocket Experiment (ATREX) is a Heliophysics sounding rocket mission that will gather information needed to better understand the process responsible for the high-altitude jet stream located 60 to 65 miles above the surface of the Earth.
