Egypt remains gripped by political tension with the rival candidates in its presidential election both claiming victory.

After a run-off vote at the weekend, the Muslim Brotherhood said its candidate, Mohamed Morsy, had won. Ahmed Shafik, President Mubarak's last prime minister, has challenged that claim.
