Gilad Shalit to write sports column

Former captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit has signed a contract with
Yedioth Achronot as the paper's new basketball columnist. A long time
sports enthusiast and fan of the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team,
Shalit's inaugural column is set to appear in this weekend's Yedioth
Achronot. His first assignment is a trip to the US to cover the NBA
finals. He will also cover Euroleague basketball and local Israeli
basketball.
