Anti-government protesters in Thailand have swung back into action - roughly three months after their long-running rally in the capital Bangkok ended in a military crackdown.

Around 300 so called "red shirts" gathered in the northern city of Chiang Mai.

They relaunched their rallies just days after authorities lifted a state of emergency in the province.
