The 2 kV High Voltage electrodes put in normal tap water create enough step potential voltage to drive a string of LED's , a 240 Volts motor and a LED lamp which have their separated contact electrodes dipped in the same pool of water.

The water heats up reasonably quick and is at boiling point in about 1 minute

It proves that step voltages need to be taken into account when using high voltage power supplies into a damp or wet environment.

LED's can be water powered
