In this video I show how to quickly determine the load measured through a kWh meter with an impulsing LED instead of the disc.
More meters now these days have impulsing LED's or LCD displays and often they are programmed to give the user hardly any information, except the total kWh measured and the time.

Most meters have a poor resolution too, and often have no decimals.

In the video not all the flashes of the yellow LED are visible, somehow some video frames are getting lost in the transfer to YouTube.
Believe me - When I count, the LED did flash.
The LED pulsed at a constant rate as the load was a constant 1.9 kW.

Time constant of the LED flash is only 1/25 of a second.

Equipment needed - stopwatch

This meter has a constant of 800 impulses / kWh. ( Kh = 1.25 )
A calculation is shown at the end of this video.

Feel free to ask any questions.
