Algerian independence film draws French protest at Cannes

Hundreds of people at the French film festival in Cannes have protested against a movie about Algeria's struggle for independence from France.

Demonstrators, who included right-wing politicians and French war veterans, say the film is biased.

Algeria gained independence from France after an eight-year war that ended in 1962.
