China's Yangtze dam displaced

China plans to build twelve new hydroelectric dams along the Yangtze river in the country's southwest.

The government says that the local economy has been boosted by the first dam project.

Residents in the area have seen their annual incomes more than double, the government says.

Melissa Chan visits the river communities who say the dam has, in fact, had the opposite affect.
