Artisans fear coral trade regulation

New regulations on coral are also being discussed at a meeting of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (Cites) in Doha, the Qatari capital.

A Cites proposal wants exporting countries to prove their trade is sustainable after environmentalists said that pink and red corals are being overharvested and damaged

But, as Claudio Lavanga found in Italy, some coral artisans believe it's their business that's being threatened.
