Obama turns to immigration reform - 25 Jun 09

Barack Obama, the US president, is taking steps to tackle immigration reform at a meeting of congressional leaders, in the hope of changing the country's immigration laws.

At stake is the status of an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in the US, and whether they'll be given the legal right to stay in the country.

But with so much already on the president's agenda, can he press forward with new legislation?
