Iraq's reformed election process

Six thousand candidates from 80 political entities are vying for seats in Iraq's parliament.

For the first time, voters can vote for the specific candidate and their political movement of choice, as opposed to a system of proportional representation.

Debate has been vigourous and colourful campaign banners have been put up across the country, as the March 7 vote aims to rid the country of sectarian divisions.
