Marta Górnicka is a choir activist. She makes the most of its revolutionary potential by having 25 women of all ages and from all walks of life sing together. Together as one, these women give vent to their anger. Marta Górnicka deals with the representations of woman in contemporary society. In Magnificat, this woman is embodied in the Virgin Mary, symbol of the Church and core of the Polish prevailing views, that of Christendom.
