Ariana's Path To Becoming A Successful Massage Therapist and Educator

Personal connections have contributed to my success as a massage therapist and educator. I was influenced at a young age by family members who were teachers, artists and healers. Throughout my career, I have been influenced by stellar professionals in the healing arts.
In the mid 80's, Texas began licensing massage therapists. I was included in the first group of massage therapists to become licensed. Now, 30 years later, I feel grateful to have found a life-long career in the healing arts as a massage therapist and massage therapy educator.
Just like how life evolves, business evolves. Ten years after CE credits were mandated for Texas LMTs, online CE courses were approved in Texas. Having been one of the first Licensed Massage Therapists in Texas and also one of the first Massage Therapy Instructors, destiny was telling me once again what I had to do; I began offering online CE courses for my students. I learned to design and develop Ariana institute CE courses through an online testing program, Litmos.com.
I set up a website with the help of an amazing webmaster, Mikail, who built the site to fit the needs of my students and clients. Setting up the website was one of the best things I could have done for my practice.
My next quantum leap forward began with my transition from the PC world to the Mac world. Along with that change, I began taking regular classes at the Apple Store in Austin. Those classes have had a profound effect on Ariana Institute's continuing education courses. The Apple tutorials have been the best investment of time and energy I've made in my professional life as a massage educator.
Looking back on my 30 year career as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Massage Therapy Instructor, I attribute much of my success to my resilience in overcoming obstacles, surrounding myself with positive motivational peers, keeping a positive mental attitude, staying abreast of technological advances and maintaining an openness to change.
It will be interesting to see what the future will bring. I believe, as Pericles said centuries ago, "What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others."
